The whole Weser area is well known for its wooden timbered houses and the castles of the Weser Renaisance. The brewering town of Einbeck is just 12 km away, to Hoexter and Goettingen you will need 35 minutes by car. Do not miss a tour around the old town of Einbeck where in summer time a guided tour with a visit to the brewery is possible. Note that the name Bock Beer actually is based on the old Einboeckshes beer which was stolen by the community of Munich when forcing an Einbeck brewer to move to the south (by paying him a lot of money) in 1388. www.einbeck-online.de |
